Since I have not experienced a Thai yoga massage in my past I do not have anything to compare it with BUT as a yoga teacher and after having countless massages in my lifetime I feel I can comment on my first thai yoga massage I received from her. I did notice after the bodywork with her, that I have experienced massages from the past that incorporated many of the same movements into their practice. Also being that I have received training and practice tai chi which deals with the energy in your body, I feel I can perceive, feel and understand the internal chi in my body. I was very excited about having the thai yoga performed on me.....and it was all I had hoped for. Debby was very nurturing, and explained everything in detail as to what she was performing. I felt very relaxed and totally gave myself into the good care of Debby's hands. She was very knowledgeable and kept frequent tabs on me about how I was feeling during the bodywork. During many of the movements I could feel the energy opening to certain places within my body. Again from my tai chi training we are taught to find energy blockages in our body and learn techniques to open these areas so the energy may flow through your body and to feel the energy. There were many movements that Debby preformed on me that I felt these areas open up and could feel the energy moving through my arms and into my hands. She also helped me with some issues with plantar fasciitis on my left heel. Afterwards I felt very balanced and totally relaxed. I think she has a gift in how she touches people and look forward to more journeys of relaxation and healing through her.

Dear Debby
I just wanted to send you a quick note to tell you how happy I am that I stumbled upon your class at the Siskey YMCA!!! I recently moved here with my family from Southern California and have been desperately looking for a yoga class that was fun and challenging. Your Beginning Yoga class is great, even for someone who is not a beginner since you explain all the different levels to add on and you allow people to make it their own. I absolutely love that you do corrections and help with alignment and the neck rubs at the end of class are an extra bonus too! I hope to see you teach more classes, but in the mean time, I will definitely drive the extra mile to see you at the Harris Express YMCA. Thanks so much, I enjoy every second of your classes.

Dear Debby,
I would like to tell you how much I enjoyed the Thai Massage I received from you last week.
I know you were still in your practicing stage, but it sure felt that you had the confidence and knowledge during the massage. I had received Thai massage prior to the one I had with you, and yours was just as good. I personally enjoy that kind of treatment because it involves a lot of stretching, breathing and relaxation. I think you have the great potential in helping people with different kinds of aces and pains as you are able to incorporate your yoga knowledge in the practice of the Thai massage.

Debby,
I must have tried 8 different yoga classes and instructors before being talked into taking your class. Now, six months later, I hate missing it. You offer a perfect balance of mental relaxation and physicality, and you always help perfect my form, reminding me to breathe, and offering gentle guidance and encouragement. I always leave your classes sweaty but refreshed, focused and calm. Your Monday morning class sets the tone for my day and my week. I knew I would benefit from your Thai Yoga Massage, I just didn't realize how much. It was 90 minutes of bliss - being stretched and pulled and rubbed. I left feeling invigorated, almost tingly, energized and peaceful. Thank you. As always, I'm looking forward to Monday.

Before taking yoga with Debby, I did not breathe properly. I actually held my breath when staying in a position. With increased awareness of the importance of breathing, I found that I held my breath in situations of daily living particularly when I was stressed. I still have to remind myself to breath on a regular basis but it is getting easier.I also was planning or thinking about my next responsibility during relaxation...I am learning that to get the most out of my yoga practice..I must relax at the end.No other yoga instructor has ever put a focus on the need to rest/ relax. -Ann
